Lale Pendant - 18K Gold Plated

$249AUD
Description

This lapis lazuli pendant in the shape of a tulip flower (pronounced la-leh in Turkish) is suspended using the ancient jewellery-making technique of wire wrapping. The word tulip comes from the Turkish word “tulband” meaning “turban”, reflecting the bloom’s origins in Anatolia. The flowers played a prominent role during the Tulip Era in the 18th century when they became a symbol of the Ottoman Empire's opulence and refined taste.

Each pendant is hand carved, assembled and slightly unique. These are a limited edition item, which once sold out will not return.
