This carnelian pendant in the shape of a foot is suspended using the ancient jewellery-making technique of wire wrapping.

Sama, a sacred practice said to have first been developed by the poet Rumi, finds expression in various forms. In Turkey the renowned Whirling Dervishes of the Mevlevi order see the rhythmic twirling footwork that glides dancers in a circle, bringing on a meditation on selflessness, love and connection with the divine.
